As a matter of fact, I always love graffiti gadgets, and that Coach Graffiti bag looks just fabulous to me, so I never expected myself to say that: this time graffiti looks so tame and tasteless. Lady Gaga buys a Birkin, a real one, and attacks it like we did the soles of our 6th grade Converse.
Defacing a luxury handbag has never been so DIY. Lady Gaga took a marker to a pristine white Hermes Birkin handbag in Tokyo and wrote: “I love little monster, Tokyo love” in Japanese. As you can see from the photo above, this Birkin is no longer a Hermes Birkin!
Guess the $5,000+ price tag and months long wait list for one of these Birkin doodads wasn’t a deterrent. Just another good example of what you can do with money (lots of money) in your pocket! Just destroy the elegant and so expensive handbag, let the poor cry!
