For bags or any other apparels, classic is always an adorable thing! If you have a thing for vintage or retro looks, if you love the traditional American style, Filson might be the right place for you to go and shop, actually the Filson wind has even blew all over the sea to Japan.
The Americana trend may hang on for a while longer. At least that’s what outdoor brand Filson is hoping for. The company which has benefited greatly from the popularity of heritage brands both Stateside and abroad, just opened its first international store on March 8 in Osaka, Japan.
No surprise! There’s no secret that the Japanese have a long-standing obsession with traditional American goods and style. Filson, which, as you probably know, produces fabulous rugged bags and flannels, has been a scenester closet staple for nearly three decades in the trend-obsessed country.
The new store carries everything from clothing (including underwear) to dog and home accessories. In fact, Filson currently has just two stores in US, Seattle and Portland, but we do get why Japanese design freaks are so into it. While not quite as dramatic as Galliano’s equestrian-themed looks for Dior, their brush pants, for example, could work nicely tucked into some shiny flat boots.
And most importantly, the wool plaid field bags are so pretty versatile, I really can’t wait to get my hands on. Practical and beautiful, and I really have a thing for plaid lately, so now you see why I’m so into it. Well, thank you Filson for bring me an affordable nice bag! And I hope you all have a nice day and a good bag too…
